One account works across aiKit: your projects, Prepress Studio, and every tool. This guide covers logging in, getting back in when you forget your password, setting up an account someone invited you to, and every email aiKit sends and why.
Log in →Log in (aikit.ai/login, or Log in at the top of any page) asks for your email and password. Keep me signed in on this device keeps you signed in for 180 days; untick it on a shared computer and you're signed out when the browser closes.
Forgot password?, just under the password box, opens a page that asks for your email and sends a Reset your aiKit password email with a Set a new password button. The link works for 30 minutes and only once; asking again makes a new link and the older one stops working. The page gives the same answer whether or not the email has an account, so nobody can use it to find out who has one. If the email doesn't show up within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
The link opens a Set a new password page for your email. Choose a password of at least 8 characters and press Save and sign in: you're signed in on that browser right away, and every other device signed in to your account is signed out. An expired or already-used link says so and shows the email box again so you can get a fresh one.
When aiKit sets up an account for a print shop, the person gets an email titled You're invited to Prepress Studio on aiKit, with what the account includes (for example 20 jobs a month, or Unlimited jobs) and a Set my password button. The link works for 7 days and only once.
The button opens a Welcome page with your email already filled in. Choose a password (at least 8 characters) and press Set password and open Prepress Studio: you're signed in and land in Prepress Studio, ready to upload your first file. The account already has its allowance and, if one was given, your shop name in your Shop profile. If the link has run out, reply to the invite email and aiKit will send a new one; if you already set a password, just log in.
Every new account gets one welcome email with a Confirm my email button (the link works for 48 hours). Pressing it shows Thanks, your email is confirmed. Nothing is locked until you confirm: logging in and every tool work the same either way. Setting a password from a reset or invite link also counts as confirming, since it proves the email reaches you.
aiKit sends a short list of emails, each about something you did or something waiting on you. Every one comes from aiKit (no-reply@mail.aikit.ai), says at the bottom why you got it, and replies go to a real person at hello@aikit.ai (or, for a proof email, to the shop that sent it).
On the Tools admin page (/tools/admin, aiKit admins only), the Accounts tab has an Invite a client card on the right: Email, Name, Shop name (optional), and Allowance (a number of jobs a month, Unlimited, Comp, or Free), plus an optional last day and an internal note for anything but Free. Invite client creates the account with that allowance already in place (it shows in the account's change log like any other allowance change) and emails the invite.
Under it, an Invite link box shows the link with Copy, for when email isn't set up yet or you'd rather send it yourself; the card says when nothing was emailed. An email that already has an account isn't invited again: the message says so and you set its allowance from the account list instead.
Above the account list, Invited clients lists every invite: the email (which opens that account), name and shop, a status (Sent, Not emailed, Accepted with the date, or Expired), when the link stops working, and when it was last sent. Resend invite emails a new link; Copy invite link makes a new link and copies it. Either one makes the earlier link stop working.
