aiKit (“aiKit,” “we,” “us”) is a website- and app-building tool. This page describes, plainly and specifically, what we collect through the product you’re using today, why we collect it, and how to reach us about it. It does not describe hypothetical future features — only what actually runs.

What we collect

If you create an account: your email address and a hashed password (we never store your password in plain text, and no one at aiKit can read it).

Whether or not you create an account: a random session identifier stored in a browser cookie, so you can start a project and come back to it before deciding to sign up.

What you build: the project name, description, audience, goal, any files or images you upload, and the site or app content aiKit generates for you. If you publish a project to a public link, that content is visible to anyone who has the link — the same way any published website works.

Feedback left on a published project: if you (or anyone visiting a project you’ve published) leaves feedback through the on-page feedback widget, we store the message, an optional name the person types in, and which project it was left on. A person leaving feedback this way does not need an aiKit account, and the name they type is not verified.

What we do not currently collect: we do not run any analytics or advertising trackers on aiKit itself, and we do not currently process payments — there is no billing or card information on file for anyone, because paid plans have not launched yet.

How your content is used

When you describe what you want built, that description (and, where relevant, the style references and images involved) is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate your project’s content and to a photo service (Pexels, with Picsum as a fallback) to source stock imagery. These are processing services we use to build your project — they are not given your email address or account details, only the project content needed to do the work.

We store your project data on Neon (a hosted Postgres database) and, for uploaded files, Vercel Blob storage. Both are US-based infrastructure providers who host the data on our behalf; they do not use it for their own purposes.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your data to anyone.
  • We don’t share your project content with other aiKit users unless you publish it yourself.
  • We don’t use your content to train AI models ourselves.

Your choices

You can unpublish a project at any time from your workspace, which takes its public link offline. There is not yet a self-service “delete my account” button in the product — email us at the address below and we will delete your account and associated project data by hand. We’re building an in-product version of this and will update this page the day it ships.

Children

aiKit is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. We won’t quietly expand what we do with your data without saying so here first.
