Choosing a visual style

aiKit offers eleven distinct visual style directions for your project, and each one changes more than color — it changes how your copy is actually written. This guide covers what your options are, the full-screen Style Explorer where you compare them, and how to change your mind later.

1

The eleven directions

  • Minimal & Refined — spare, precise, no ornamentation, lets the substance speak for itself.
  • Warm & Personal — like a well-written magazine profile, real texture over polish.
  • Bold & Energetic — confident, punchy, declarative.
  • Soft & Welcoming — gentler rhythm, inviting rather than commanding.
  • Professional & Trusted — measured, credible, no hype, emphasizes track record.
  • Natural & Grounded — honest, plain-spoken, tangible detail.
  • Luxury & Understated — restrained, no exclamation points, lets quality imply itself.
  • Playful & Fun — more personality and warmth, short punchy lines welcome.
  • Modern & Technical — precise, concrete, favors mechanism over flourish.
  • Fresh & Relaxed — light, easygoing, unhurried.
  • Creative & Artistic — bold, expressive, willing to make a statement.

Why style changes your words, not just your colors

A style choice in aiKit feeds directly into how the AI writes your copy — a Luxury & Understated project and a Playful & Fun project get genuinely different writing instructions, not just a different color scheme applied to the same sentences. That's why switching styles can noticeably change the feel of your draft, not just its look.

The Style Explorer — a dedicated, full-screen picker

Wherever you're asked to pick a style — Chat mode's style question, or the "Browse styles & real examples" trigger — it opens a full-screen overlay titled "Pick a style direction," with the subtext "Real mockups, plus real sites in that direction — click any example to see it live."

Every one of the 11 styles gets its own card showing a genuine live mini-mockup in that style's real fonts, colors, and corner rounding (heading text, a line of body copy, and a colored "Get Started" pill), so you're comparing what you'll actually get, not a generic swatch.

Underneath several of the cards, a "Real examples" row shows small live screenshot thumbnails of real websites Ike's team has curated as examples of that direction — each one is a genuine link that opens the real site in a new tab when clicked, not a mockup. Clicking anywhere else on a card selects that style and closes the overlay immediately.

Changing your style after you have a draft

On the Live Preview tab, a 'See another direction' button cycles your current draft through aiKit's other style options so you can compare quickly. If you already know which specific style you want instead of browsing through them one at a time, the full Style Explorer described above is available to pick from directly.
