Personality: Kit, friendly lines, celebrations and sounds

aiKit has a little personality: a short, friendly line now and then while a tool works, a wave from Kit (the ∞ buddy) on your first proof, video or quote, a small cheer when you check off a goal step, and soft sounds. You decide how much of it you see in Settings → Personality. It never shows on errors, payments, or anything that needs your attention.

Full, Light or Off

  • Light is the default: a line on about one wait or win in three, every wait that runs long, and a celebration on your firsts and goal steps.
  • Full shows a line on most waits and wins, and Kit drops by on about one win in three.
  • Off is plain and quiet: no lines, no Kit, no celebrations and no sounds. Tools still say exactly what they are doing.
  • The choice is saved on this browser, like light or dark. Show me plays a sample celebration so you can see it.

Kit, the ∞ buddy

Kit appears in the bottom right corner for a few seconds, says one line, and tucks away. It waves on your first proof, video, quote, lesson, deck, logo and more (once each, on this browser), and cheers goal steps, with a bigger cheer at halfway and at the finish.

If the same small slip happens twice in a visit (for example, a file type a tool doesn't open), Kit pops up with a quicker way to do it. That tip is the one thing screen readers announce; the jokes and waves are skipped so they never get in the way.

Press the X or Escape to close Kit at once. The speaker button on Kit's bubble mutes or unmutes sounds.

Celebrations and motion

A first win gets a short confetti burst from Kit's corner; a goal milestone gets an ∞ that draws itself. Each lasts under two seconds and nothing flashes. If your device is set to reduce motion, there is no confetti and no movement: Kit and the words simply fade in.

4

Sounds

Sounds are on by default and kept short and quiet: a soft chime when something is ready, a swish when you send, a small three-note cheer on a first win. They play only after you have clicked something on the page, never on their own. Turn them off with the Sounds switch in Settings → Personality or the speaker on Kit's bubble. Off also silences them.

Lines and word tips

The lines come from a library of several hundred, written for each tool (print, gobos, video, lessons, goals and more), and rotate so you don't see the same one twice in a visit. Under some instruction boxes, a small tip shows how a few more words get a better result, often as a before and after example.
