Tell us about your work: tools picked for what you do

At the top of My toolkits there is an optional card that asks one question: What kind of work do you do? Answer it and aiKit shows the tools that fit your kind of work, each with one plain line about what it does for you, plus a few things you can do with them this week. It never blocks anything, you can hide it, and you can change the answer any time in Settings.

Answering the question

  • Press the closest kind of work: Print shop, Restaurant, Salon or spa, Contractor or trades, Retail store, Real estate, Nonprofit, Agency or designer, Health or wellness, or Other. One press saves it.
  • Or type a few words of your own under Or say it in your own words (up to 120 characters), then press Show my tools. aiKit matches your words to the closest kind of work by keywords. For example, “I run a dog grooming salon” shows the salon and spa picks.
  • If your words don't match any kind of work yet, you get a set of tools that help almost any business, and the card says so.
  • Matching is a fixed list kept by the aiKit team, not an AI guess, so it is instant and costs nothing.
  • Not now, or the X at the top right, hides the card. Nothing else changes.

Tools that fit your work

After you answer, the card lists the tools that fit, each with its icon, its name, a Tool or Module tag, and one line about what it does for that kind of business. Press any row to open it. Only tools that work today are listed; a tool still being built never appears here.

Tool means something you use in your own workspace, like Quote Studio. Module means a feature you add to a website you build with aiKit, like Booking; pressing a module opens its page in Explore Kits.

The ready-made toolkit that best fits your answer moves to the front of Start from a ready-made toolkit, further down the page, with a Fits your work tag.

What you can do this week

Three short, concrete things to do with tools that work today, like Fix one customer file that came in wrong for a print shop or Ask recent guests for a review for a restaurant. Each has a button that opens that tool.

4

More tools are coming

aiKit is still growing. A short note on the card says more tools are being added and links to Coming next on the What's new page (/home/whats-new#coming-next), where the aiKit team lists what it is building next.

5

What would you want a tool to do for you?

At the bottom of the card there is a box for your own idea. Write a sentence (up to 1,000 characters) and press Send to the aiKit team. It is saved with the kind of work you picked, and the aiKit team reads every one when deciding what to build next. You can send up to 10 a day; Send another idea opens the box again.

6

Change, hide, or clear it in Settings

  • Settings → Your work shows your current answer.
  • Change opens the same chips and text box.
  • Show on My toolkits brings the card back after you hid it; See my picks opens it when it is showing.
  • Clear removes your answer, and the card goes back to asking the question.
  • Home's Get set up in three steps also has a link, Not sure? Tell us what you do, that opens the card even after you hid it. So does Tell us what kind of work you do on an empty My toolkits page.

For the aiKit team: reading the requests (admins only)

aiKit admins see a What people want a tool to do card at the bottom of What's new. It lists every request, newest first, with the kind of work, the person's own words if they typed any, their email, and when it was sent.

  • Chips at the top count requests by kind of work. Pressing one shows only those, with Showing: … · Show all to go back; the choice is kept in the address (?asked=…) so a link opens the same view.
  • The kind-of-work tag on each request filters the same way.
  • Search looks through the requests, the words people typed, and emails.
  • Delete asks once more, then removes that request.
