Presentation Builder turns your notes, files, web links and photos into a finished deck for a pitch, a client proposal, a lesson, a school project, training, a report or a talk. You say what it is for, check the plan, pick a look, and the AI writes every slide and the speaker notes. Then you click any text to type, ask the AI for changes in plain words, present full screen, share a live link, or download PowerPoint or PDF. It only uses facts you give it; anything missing is marked “fill in”. Open it from Explore Kits or at aikit.ai/tools/decks.
Open Presentation Builder →Step 1, What it's for: pick one of seven kinds (Pitch, Client proposal, Lesson, School project, Training, Report / update, Story / event). The kind shapes the slides: a Lesson gets learning goals, quiz questions after each section and a recap; a School project gets a Sources slide; a Proposal gets scope, timeline and investment. Then say the goal in your own words (the microphone button types what you say), who is watching (it writes for them, from elementary students to executives) and how many minutes you have.
Add what the AI should use: Files (PDF, Word, PowerPoint .pptx, text, Markdown or HTML; add an old PowerPoint and the AI reads its words and speaker notes and rebuilds the deck fresh), Web links, pasted or spoken notes, and Photos. Your photos are used before anything else, and you can type what each one shows so the AI puts it on the right slide. Each source shows as a chip you can remove. The AI only uses what you add and never invents numbers, quotes or sources. If you have a saved Brand Voice, a checkbox writes the deck in it.
Plan my slides shows Step 2, the outline: every slide has a title, a one-line point and a slide type. Change any of them, move slides up or down, remove or add slides. If the AI thinks something important is missing it lists up to three things you could add. Nothing is built or charged for the full deck until you continue.
Step 3 is the look: six looks (Midnight, Paper, Ocean, Sunrise, Classroom, Mono) shown with a sample slide, plus any brand colors saved in Logo Kit. Build my deck writes every slide and the speaker notes (about a minute) and opens the editor. Anything it could not do is listed as “Not done yet” in the chat.
Left: the slide strip. Click a slide to open it; drag small slides to reorder; Add slide adds one after the current slide. Middle: the slide itself. Click any text on it and type; press Enter or click away to keep it. Under it: Move earlier, Move later, Duplicate and Delete slide. Top bar: the deck title, Saved / Saving, slide count and total time, Undo and Redo, the look, ⬇ PowerPoint, ⬇ PDF and ▶ Present.
Ask AI tab: type or say any change in your own words, such as make this slide shorter, use simpler words, add a quiz question after this, or add a slide about pricing. The chips are shortcuts only. The AI changes only what you asked, saves the result as a new version, and tells you in one line what it did. Anything it could not do or chose not to do appears under “Not done yet” with the reason. Under each answer, a thumbs up or down lets you tell us what went wrong, and “Send and fix it” asks the AI to fix it.
Slide tab: the slide type, its lists (bullets, cards, steps, big numbers, chart numbers, table, quiz answers with the right one ticked), the picture (upload a photo or pick one you already added; describe it for screen readers), speaker notes (with a microphone) and the time for that slide.
Check tab: paste a grading rubric, an assignment checklist or what your boss wants, and press Check my deck. You get a score out of 100 and, for each line, what was found, one fix, a Go to slide button and Fix it for me. Leave it empty for a general quality check.
Ask AI tab, two more tools under the chat: Update from new info (type new numbers, add a file or a link, then Update my deck; the AI changes only the slides the new information affects, and its reply says exactly what changed from what to what) and Make a version for another audience (pick or type who it is for, such as Middle school students, Parents or Executives; it makes a COPY with every slide and note rewritten for them, keeping the facts, numbers, order and pictures, and your original is not touched). In the Slide tab, the picture section also has From my Graphics Library: search your library and click a graphic to use it. The look menu at the top lists your saved Logo Kit brand colors as Brand: name, so one click re-brands the whole deck.
History tab: every AI change and every pause in typing is a version. Go back saves the old version as a new one, so nothing is ever lost. Share tab: turn the live link on or off, copy it, and download.
Present opens the deck full screen. Right arrow, space or a tap on the right moves on; left arrow or a tap on the left goes back; swipe on a phone. N shows your speaker notes, F is the browser's full screen, Esc leaves. The bottom bar shows the time so far against the planned time and whether you are ahead or behind. Quiz slides are clickable: pick an answer and it shows right or wrong and why.
The live link (Share tab) lets anyone with the address watch the deck, view only, with no speaker notes. It always shows your newest saved version, so a fix made five minutes before the meeting is there. Turn it off and the address stops working. Under the link you can see how many times it was opened and when it was last opened.
For classes, the Share tab also gives a Student view link (the live link with ?mode=learn) and a Study guide link. Student view turns the deck into a self-paced lesson: Read this to me reads the slide aloud with the browser's own voice; every slide has Got it and Show me again later; quiz slides must be answered before moving on, then show the answer and why; the dots at the top turn green or amber; and at the end the student gets a study plan with the questions they missed and the slides they marked to look at again. It runs in the student's own browser, uses no AI, and keeps progress on that device only, so nothing about a student is sent to aiKit. The Study guide is a printable page of each slide's key points plus every quiz question with its answer; choose Print or save as PDF.
⬇ PowerPoint downloads a real .pptx: text boxes you can edit, native charts and tables, your pictures and your speaker notes. ⬇ PDF opens a print page with each slide on its own 16:9 page; choose Save as PDF and turn on Background graphics.
The AI can get things wrong. Read every slide, and fill in anything it marked “fill in” (such as a price or a number it was not given). Not built yet: video (MP4) export and AI-made pictures. Each deck build and each AI change uses AI credits from your plan.
