The row under every AI result: read aloud, copy, redo, edit, share, download

Under the words aiKit's AI writes for you, a row of small buttons lets you listen, copy, make a new version, edit, share a link, or save a file, plus the thumbs up and down. It's the same row in every tool that writes: the website Assistant, the project planner, Writing Pack, Content Kit posts and product descriptions, Email Studio, Lesson Kit lessons and add-ons, Presentation Builder replies, Live Chat answers in your inbox, Hub summaries and to-dos, Goal Kit plans and walkthroughs, Brand Voice samples and rewrites, Quote Studio wording, review replies, Transcribe & Summarize summaries, Screen Recorder notes, the business report's answers, and Trading Copilot answers. On a phone the buttons show as icons; press and hold, or use a screen reader, to hear each name.

1

Read aloud

Read aloud plays the result out loud. While it plays, the button becomes Pause, then Resume; the square button beside it stops. Only one result reads at a time: starting another stops the first.

The small arrow beside it picks the voice. Device voice is free and is read by your own phone or computer, so it sounds different on each device. Natural voice is aiKit's Voice Kit voice (your newest ready voice from Voice Kit if you made one, otherwise a stock voice). It uses your account's tokens, by length, like a Voice Kit read; playing the same words again in the same visit is free. The natural voice reads up to about 6,000 letters at a time, and says so when a result is longer. Your choice is remembered on that device.

If the natural voice isn't switched on yet, you hear a stand-in sound and the line under the row says Sample sound. If your tokens are used up, it says so and points you to the free device voice.

2

Copy

Copy puts the result on your clipboard with its formatting (headings, bold, lists and links), so it pastes cleanly into Google Docs, Word or Gmail. The button turns into a check mark that says Copied for two seconds.

The small arrow beside Copy has Copy plain text, for places that want words only, like a text message or a form. If your browser blocks copying, the row says so and you can select the text and press Ctrl+C (⌘C on a Mac).

3

Redo and Edit

Redo makes a new version through the tool's own change path, the same as asking it in words (for example Rewrite this lesson in Lesson Kit, or a fresh post in Content Kit). It shows only where the tool can make new versions, and waits while the tool is already working.

Edit opens the tool's own editor where it has one (Writing Pack's page, Lesson Kit's Edit by hand, the description box in Content Kit, the reply box in Reviews). Where a tool has no editor, such as a chat answer, Edit opens Edit a copy: your changes are used when you read aloud, copy, share or download, and a line under the row says you're using your edited copy, with Use the original to go back. Edit a copy never changes the saved result; ask the tool for that.

4

Share a link

Share makes a read-only link to the words and copies it. A box opens with the link, Copy link, Open, and Stop sharing. Anyone with the link can read the words on a plain aiKit page, with no sign-in; they never see your account, your other work, or your projects. Stop sharing turns the link off at once, and the page then says the link isn't shared anymore. Sharing the same unchanged result again gives back the same link while it's on.

Share isn't offered where the words belong to someone else or to a private conversation: Live Chat answers, Reviews replies, Quote Studio wording, Trading Copilot, business report answers, Presentation Builder replies, and anything in a client's view.

5

Download

Download saves the result as a Word file (.docx). The small arrow beside it also offers PDF (.pdf) and Plain text (.txt). Files are made on your device and named after the result. The PDF uses standard fonts, so letters outside Western European languages show as their nearest plain letter or a question mark; the Word file keeps every letter.

6

Thumbs up and down

The thumbs sit at the end of the same row and work as before: thumbs down opens What went wrong?, and where the tool can make changes, Send and fix it asks for a corrected version. See What aiKit remembers and learns.
