Prepress Studio gets better the more you use it, in two ways you can see. It remembers what your shop teaches it (your printer's numbers, each customer's colors and company lines, how you like the work done) and uses that on your next jobs, and it learns from mistakes: when a result needed fixing, our team turns the pattern into a house rule the assistant follows for every shop. Nothing is remembered without your OK, and anything remembered can be changed or deleted.
Open Prepress Studio →When you tell the assistant something that should hold for later jobs, it uses it on the job in front of you and offers to keep it. A card appears in the conversation, for example "Your printer wants 1/8 in bleed.", with two buttons: Remember it and Not now. Remember it keeps it for your next jobs; the card then says Remembered for your next jobs, with Change or delete it. Not now drops it; it won't be used on other jobs.
Three kinds of things are offered: your printer (numbers your printer wants, like bleed, safe area, stock, or cut line rules), brand kits (one customer's PMS inks, fonts, logo placement, and company lines, kept for that customer only), and how you like it done (standing preferences like "always ask before resizing"). It only offers what you said, never a guess, and never a one-time change like "make the logo bigger".
Everything you said yes to goes with every new request in Prepress Studio: things for every job always, and a brand kit only on jobs for that customer (the Customer name on the job). What you say in a request still wins over anything remembered. When a remembered fact decides something, the assistant says so in a few words, like "Using your printer's 1/8 in bleed.", and the result's Numbers from line shows it came from what you told it before.
What aiKit remembers, at the top right of Prepress Studio (Remembers on a phone), opens the list. The number beside it counts what's kept; when something is waiting for your OK it shows how many are new instead. Waiting for your OK comes first: things offered during a job that aren't used until you tap Remember it. Then Your printer, Brand kits (grouped by customer), and How you like it done, each with a count.
Each item shows its words, who it's for (For every job, or For a customer), and how often it has been used. The pencil button changes it: its words, its kind, and Only for this customer (leave that empty for every job). The trash button asks Delete this? with Delete and Keep. Add something to remember at the bottom lets you write one yourself; things you write are kept right away.
Every result asks Is version 2 right? with Looks right and Something's wrong. Something's wrong opens a box for a few words about what's off; the words are optional. Your answer is kept on that version, and Change switches it. It doesn't change the file: to get the fix, say what to change in the box under the conversation, and the assistant makes a new version.
Some things are noted automatically as signs the first try missed: a change asked for right after a version, a file check that failed, a Something's wrong, your customer's Request changes note, and sending or downloading an older version instead of the newest. Downloading, sending, approvals, and Looks right are noted as signs it got it right.
From time to time the notes are read together to find repeated mistakes, and each one becomes a proposed house rule, like "a business card keeps every line you give it, including the street address." Our team reviews every proposed rule and approves it before the assistant follows it. Approved rules go with every request they fit, for every shop. A rule can also carry a test (a sample request and what the result must have), which our team runs against the assistant when it changes.
