What you get

Do the same thing to many client files at once.

Say it once, done to every file

Type "add a 1/16 inch bleed and save as PDF" and Automate turns it into steps you can see and change. Anything it isn't able to do is listed first, before a single file runs.

Bleed that keeps the art whole

Mirrored bleed extends the edges outward, so the artwork itself stays at 100% and a 2.5 × 3.5 card becomes 2.625 × 3.625 with nothing cropped.

Client files as they arrive

Drop PDFs (every page), Illustrator, PSD, JPG, PNG, TIFF or WebP files, or saved Pro Designer projects. PDF and Illustrator pages stay vector when every step allows it.

Recipes to start from

12 ready-made recipes, such as Print-ready batch, Brand scrub and Product photo cleanup, plus automations you save, rename and duplicate yourself.

Names that say what changed

Files come out named like card_2.625x3.625_bleed.pdf, with naming tokens you can change. Originals are never overwritten.

Check before you run

Preview the result on the first file, set steps to run only on files that need them, and save extra formats of each file in the same batch.

How it works

From first click to finished, in 4 steps.

  1. Drop the files

Open Automate from File > Automate in Pro Designer or at aikit.ai/tools/pro-designer/automate, and drop 2 or 500 files.

  2. Say what to do, or pick a recipe

Write it in plain words, choose a recipe, or build the steps yourself: bleed, exact size, scale, resolution, color mode, rotate, crop, trim, logo, words.

  3. Preview the first file

See exactly what the first file will look like, adjust any step, and choose which files each step runs on.

  4. Run and save

Every file shows its own progress. Download one ZIP, save straight into a folder in Chrome or Edge, or add them to your Graphics Library.

Who it’s for

How different businesses use Pro Designer Automate

Print, promo & signs

A folder of business cards, all with bleed

A print shop gets 40 card files at 2.5 × 3.5 with no bleed. One run adds a mirrored eighth-inch bleed, converts to CMYK and names every file with its new size.

Marketing & agencies

Every client photo, sized for every channel

An agency turns a shoot of 60 photos into web, email and social sizes in one batch, each saved with a name that says where it goes.

Retail, restaurants & e-commerce

Product photos cleaned up in bulk

An online shop runs the Product photo cleanup recipe on a new collection, then adds the store logo to each picture.

Real estate

Watermark a whole listing

An agent adds a small logo to all 35 listing photos and resizes them for the listing site, without opening a single one by hand.

Events, lighting & AV

Sponsor logos for every screen

An event company resizes a batch of sponsor logos to the exact sizes the screens and printed programs need.

Ideal for

  • Print shops getting a folder of client art that all needs bleed, CMYK or a new size
  • Anyone making web, email or social versions of many pictures
  • Watermarking or adding a logo to a whole set

Good to know

  • Not for: Editing one design by hand (use Pro Designer)
  • Runs in your browser: hundreds of large print files are best done in a few batches.
  • Saved automations stay in this browser for now.

Questions

Pro Designer Automate: questions people ask

How do I batch add bleed to many PDF files?
Open aiKit Pro Designer Automate, drop the PDFs (every page is included), and type "add a 1/16 inch bleed" or pick the Print-ready batch recipe. Automate uses mirrored bleed, so the edges extend outward and the artwork stays at 100%. A 2.5 × 3.5 inch card becomes 2.625 × 3.625. Preview the first file, run the batch, and every file is saved with a name like card_2.625x3.625_bleed.pdf, as one ZIP, into a folder, or into your Graphics Library. Your original files are never overwritten.
Is there a Photoshop Actions alternative that runs in the browser?
Yes. aiKit Pro Designer Automate does the same thing to many files at once, in your browser with nothing to install. Instead of recording an action, you say what to do in plain words, such as "resize to 1080 wide, convert to JPG and add our logo bottom right," or start from one of 12 ready-made recipes. The steps appear as a list you can change, you preview the result on the first file, and then every file runs with its own progress line.
Can I bulk resize images and keep the names organized?
Yes. In aiKit Pro Designer Automate, add an exact size or scale step, and each file is saved with a name that says what changed, such as photo_1080x1350.jpg. You can change the naming pattern with tokens, and save extra formats of the same file in one run, for example a PNG and a JPG. Originals are never overwritten, and the results come as one ZIP, a folder in Chrome or Edge, or files in your Graphics Library.
Can I batch convert files to CMYK for printing?
Yes. aiKit Pro Designer Automate has a color mode step that converts a whole batch to CMYK or grayscale, and it can save each file as a print PDF. Combine it with bleed, an exact size and a resolution step in one automation, preview the first file, and run it on the rest. Your printer still has the final word on color, so check a proof for color-critical jobs.
Can I watermark or add a logo to a whole set of photos?
Yes. In aiKit Pro Designer Automate, add a logo step, or a words step for a text watermark, choose the corner, size and margin, and it is placed the same way on every file. Real estate agents use it for listing photos, shops for product pictures, and agencies for client previews. Save it as your own automation to run again on the next set.
Which file types does Automate open?
aiKit Pro Designer Automate opens PDF files (every page becomes its own file), Illustrator files, PSD files, JPG, PNG, TIFF and WebP pictures, and projects saved in Pro Designer. PDF and Illustrator pages stay vector when every step in the batch allows it; when a step needs a picture, Automate says so and works at print resolution.
Can I tell Automate to run a step only on some files?
Yes. Each step can run on all files or only on the ones that need it, for example only on files without bleed or only on pictures below a size. Automate shows the result on the first file before anything runs, so you can check the conditions and the output before the whole batch goes.
Does batch processing in aiKit use AI credit?
Most of aiKit Pro Designer Automate runs as plain steps in your browser and uses none of your monthly AI allowance: bleed, sizes, scale, color mode, rotate, crop, trim, logos, words and renaming. Turning a plain-words request into steps, and any custom step that asks the AI to change what is in each picture, uses the monthly AI allowance.
How many files can I process at once?
Automate works on 2 files or hundreds. It runs in your browser, so very large batches of big print files go faster in a few rounds on a recent computer in Chrome. Each file shows its own progress, and a file that fails is listed with the reason while the rest keep going.
Does aiKit have a Photoshop-style editor?
Yes: Pro Designer at aikit.ai/tools/pro-designer. It has Photoshop's layout and shortcuts (menu bar, toolbar, options bar, rulers, Layers, History, Properties and Adjustments panels) and its core tools: layers with masks, clipping masks, blend modes and styles; adjustment layers; marquee, lasso, magic wand and Select Subject; brush, eraser, gradient and paint bucket; clone stamp, healing and spot healing; dodge, burn and sponge; Levels, Curves, Hue/Saturation and more; the Filter menu; Free Transform with skew, distort and perspective; crop, image size and canvas size. Everything runs in your browser.
What file types can Pro Designer open and save?
It opens PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO, AVIF, SVG, PDF, Illustrator files saved with PDF content, PSD, and HEIC photos in Safari. Save As… (⇧⌘S) saves JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, ICO, PDF (with bleed and crop marks for print), CMYK PDF, TIFF, CMYK TIFF, BMP, PSD with layers, a separate project copy, and Vector PDF and SVG with text and shapes as vector outlines. You choose the resolution, from 72 to 1,200 ppi or any number up to 2,400; 300 is print quality. JPG, PNG and PDF are also one click at the top right.
How do I put a photo inside a shape or box in Pro Designer?
Draw a box with the Marquee (or Elliptical Marquee for a circle), then press Place picture here in the bar under the picture, or + Place at the top right. Pick Inside my box, then a photo from your computer, the free photo search, your Graphics Library or an AI picture. The photo fills the box like a frame; drag it with the Move tool to choose which part shows, and press ⌘T to make it bigger or smaller. Page background instead fills the whole page behind everything.
Can I choose the quality and file size when saving from Pro Designer?
Yes. Save As (⇧⌘S) shows the real saved file and its size before you download it. Pick Small, Medium, Large or Maximum, or set the details: JPG, WebP and PDF quality, PNG full color or 256 to 16 colors, GIF colors, TIFF ZIP compression, transparency on or off, and the image size in pixels or a resolution up to 2,400 ppi.
Can Pro Designer add bleed or resize many files at once?
Yes. Automate (File > Automate, or /tools/pro-designer/automate) runs the same steps on many files: drop PDFs, Illustrator, PSD, JPG, PNG or TIFF files, say what to do ("add a 1/16 inch bleed and save as PDF") or pick a ready-made recipe, and download them all in one ZIP or straight into a folder. A 2.5 × 3.5 inch card comes back as card_2.625x3.625_bleed.pdf, with mirrored edges for the bleed, the text still vector and a TrimBox for the printer. Other steps: exact sizes, scale, resolution, CMYK or grayscale, rotate, crop, trim, logo and words on every file. You can save your own automations.
How do I draw a box and give it a color, an outline or an effect in Pro Designer?
Pick Shapes (U) and drag, or draw a box with the Rectangular Marquee (M) and press Make it a box. With the box selected, the bar under the picture sets the fill color (or a gradient, or no fill), the outline color and thickness, round corners, and one-click effects such as Drop shadow, Glow, Neon, Outline and Sticker. Outline… and Fill… also work on any selection.
