How to make a jingle and a voice-over for a radio or video ad

Make the jingle in aiKit's Music Maker by describing it and naming your business in the lyrics, then cut it to an exact ad length. Write and read the voice-over in Voice Kit, in an AI voice made from your own recordings or a stock voice, with the jingle dipping under the voice. Download one mixed file for radio, video or social.

What you need

  • Your business name, the offer, and how people reach you (phone, website, address)
  • The ad length: 15, 30 or 60 seconds
  • A free aiKit account (full-length songs, WAV downloads and the Business-safe Pro engine are on paid plans)
  • Optional: 1 to 2 minutes of clean recordings of your own voice, to make your own AI voice

Steps

  1. Describe the jingle

Open Music Maker and choose For my business. In Describe your song, say it the way you'd tell a musician, or press the microphone. In Name a business in the lyrics, type the business and one detail, and AI-written lyrics name it at least once in the chorus.

  2. Write and tighten the lyrics

Under Lyrics, pick AI writes, My lyrics, or Instrumental. Press Write lyrics now, so I can edit them to see the words first, then type changes like add our phone number or shorter chorus and press Change the lyrics. If you have a Brand Voice, the lyrics follow it.

  3. Pick styles and length, then make it

Tap styles such as Use it for, Song vibe, Genre and Mood, and pick a length. For commercial work, the Business-safe Pro engine is trained on licensed music. Press Make: every click makes 2 versions. A line under each song says what you may do with it.

  4. Choose a version and cut it to ad length

Play both versions, press Regenerate if neither fits, and like the one you want. Cut for ads downloads an exact-length MP3 with a clean fade: a 6-second bumper, a 15-, 30- or 60-second spot, or a seamless loop.

  5. Write the voice-over script

Open Voice Kit and start a voiceover. In the AI writer, type what it must say, set For to Ad or radio spot, pick a tone and a Length of 30 seconds, and press Write it. The estimate shows whether the script is on target. It never invents prices or phone numbers; it leaves a placeholder for you to fill in.

  6. Pick the voice and hear it

Under Who reads it, choose your own AI voice or a stock voice and press the read button. If a name comes out wrong, highlight it and press Fix how it's said. Direct the read takes notes like slow down on the phone number or more energy on this weekend.

  7. Put the jingle under the voice and download

In Music Maker, Send to… Voice Kit sends the song as a music bed for your next read. The music starts just before the voice, dips while it speaks, and fades at the end. Download with music gives you one mixed WAV, ready for a station, a video or Video Kit.

Tips

  • Budget about 150 words a minute: roughly 35 to 40 words for a 15-second spot and 70 to 75 for 30 seconds, leaving room for the jingle to breathe.
  • Say the business name early and again at the end, and give one way to reach you. Listeners rarely remember two phone numbers and a website.
  • Keep the sung hook short, around five to eight words, so it still works as a 6-second bumper or a sound logo at the end of a video.
  • Spell tricky names the way they sound in the script (or save them in the Pronunciation list) so every read says them the same way.
  • Send the finished mix to your client with Send for approval, which opens it as a Customer Proof they can comment on at any moment.

Questions

Can I use an AI jingle in a paid ad?
Under every song, a line says what you may do with it under the engine's terms. For commercial work, choose the Business-safe Pro engine, which is trained on licensed music and is the safest choice for ads. Music Maker writes original music and lyrics; it won't copy a real song's lyrics or an artist's voice, and remixing is only for songs you own or have the rights to.
Can the voice-over be in my own voice?
Yes. In Voice Kit, Make your own voice walks you through a written consent, a spoken consent sentence and 1 to 2 minutes of your own recordings. aiKit checks that the sentence was said and that it is the same voice before making anything. It is only for your own voice and your own work, every voice is labeled as AI, and stock voices are ready if you'd rather not record.
How long should a radio ad script be?
At a natural pace of about 150 words a minute, a 30-second spot holds roughly 70 to 75 words and a 60-second spot about 150, a little less when music needs room. Voice Kit shows an estimate in seconds and words and says whether the script is on target, and Fit to the length trims or extends it to the length you picked.
Can the singer sing my business name?
Yes. Type your business and a detail in Name a business in the lyrics, and AI-written lyrics name it naturally, at least once in the chorus. Or write your own lyrics with [Verse] and [Chorus] tags. The song is sung by the music engine's singers; your own voice can be added as a spoken intro or outro over the song.
What file formats do I get?
Music Maker downloads MP3, with WAV on paid plans, and Cut for ads gives exact 6-, 15-, 30- and 60-second MP3 cuts. Voice Kit downloads MP3 or WAV, and Download with music gives the voice and music mixed as one WAV. Voice Kit can also make .srt and .vtt caption files timed to the read for video players.
