A mockup is a picture that shows what a design will look like in real life: a logo stitched on a cap, printed on a tumbler or mounted on a storefront sign. It is sometimes called a virtual sample. Mockups help people judge size, placement and color on the actual product instead of on a blank white page.
They speed up decisions. A customer who can see their logo on a navy hoodie and a gray one side by side can choose in minutes, and a shop can catch a logo that is too detailed for embroidery before the order is placed.
Say a promo shop called Northstar Promo is pitching branded gear to a gym called Iron Valley Fitness. Instead of describing the options, it sends mockups of the logo on shirts, water bottles and a gym bag in every color, plus a spec sheet for the quote.
In aiKit, Mockup Studio puts a logo or all-over art on 32 ready products drawn in every color, or on photos of your own products, with looks for screen print, embroidery, laser and more. On-screen colors differ from ink and thread, so check a printed sample for color-critical jobs.
