Prompt

A prompt is the instruction you give an AI tool in plain words, such as a request, a description of a picture or a change to make.

A prompt is whatever you type, or say, to tell an AI what you want. It can be a question, a request like write three subject lines for a spring sale, a description of an image, or a change such as make the background darker and move the logo to the top right. The AI's result depends a lot on how clear the prompt is.

Good prompts are specific: who it is for, what it should include, the tone, the size or length, and anything to avoid. Adding examples or reference material helps even more. You do not need special prompt words; plain, detailed sentences usually work best.

Imagine a hair salon called Velvet & Vine asking an AI for a promo post. Make a post for our salon gets something generic. Make a square post announcing 20% off color services on Tuesdays in October, warm and friendly, with our logo bottom right gets much closer on the first try.

Across aiKit, tools take plain-word requests, and many list anything they did not do as Not done yet so nothing is skipped silently. Photo Studio lets you click visual looks instead of learning prompt words, and Brand Kit gives every tool your voice and look so you do not repeat them in every prompt.
